Washed Out - Call It Off
Ernest Greene, keep doing what you’re doing man. Love the viciously oscillating synths on this one.

Sometimes there isn’t a need for filler. When ostentation falls out of style and from grace. There are those times of the day, when the beauty of the moment lies in what isn’t happening. And you’re just, standing there.
Pure X - Surface
Nicolas Jaar - Don’t Break My Love. Textures galore. Pitchfork says it’s the build up that counts, which is hard to disagree with. While a lot tracks reward with the passing of time, this one grabs you at first impression and never lets go.

Caveman - Thankful. These guys did enough at CMJ last month to land an appearance on NPR’s All Songs Considered podcast. It’s well deserved, I first heard this track on a summer mix and felt it mirrored the sun drenched season quite well. Looking forward to hearing more from the Brooklyn based group as their stock continues to rise.

Theophilus London - Why Even Try. Good stuff from the 24 year old via Pocono, via Brooklyn, via Trinidad. The intro is kind of a banger too.

Milagres - Glowing Mouth. A cool group forwarded to me by a friend in Colorado. They sound eerily similar to the band Grizzly Bear, which is a good thing. We need more grizzly bears roaming the musical landscape.
